Kristen Nailor holds a degree in Biochemistry from Indiana University. She began her career as a medicinal chemist at GlaxoSmithKline where she spent 7 years supporting several oncology small molecule drug discovery projects. After departing GSK to volunteer abroad for 1.5 years, she returned to the US and accepted a position as the head of compound management at Vanderbilt University where she built a robust compound management facility that supported academic drug discovery programs and industry collaborations in neuroscience, oncology and other therapeutic areas. After 5 years at Vanderbilt, she relocated to San Diego, CA where she served as the Team Leader for the La Jolla based Compound Logistics group at Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson for 3 years. Ready for an exciting new challenge, in December 2017 she assumed the role of Group Leader of the Biologics Sample Management team at Genentech in South San Francisco, CA.
