Dr Sylviane Boucharens is Chief Operation and Scientific Officer and co-founder of BioAscent Discovery Ltd. a new venture offering services and expertise in Compound Management. She is also responsible of the Compound Management of the European Lead Factory.Sylviane started her career in the Pharmaceutical industry 20 years ago when she joined the the Laboratoires Fournier (Dijon, France). In June 2000 she moved to Organon Laboratories (Newhouse, Scotland) and was responsible for managing a portfolio of early Drug Discovery projects in Cardiovascular from Target Identification and validation to Lead Optimisation. After a couple of acquisition and merge (Organon/Schering-Plough/ Merck Sharp & Dohme) she became responsible of Global Compound repository store and in-vitro Screening until January 2011 when MSD decide to close the site.Sylviane attained her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France, followed by post-doctoral positions at the INSERM U366 Laboratory, Grenoble, France and University of Manchester, UK under the Wellcome Trust International Fellowship.
